Tour of Luxembourg

The Tour de Luxembourg is one of Europe’s longest-running stage races, first held in 1935 and contested across the compact but surprisingly demanding terrain of the Grand Duchy. Steep river valleys, wooded ridges, exposed plateaus and short climbs give the race a character that contrasts sharply with Luxembourg’s small geographical size.

Around the Peloton follows the Tour de Luxembourg stage by stage, uncovering medieval castles, fortified towns, vineyard landscapes and communities shaped by the Ardennes, industrialisation and the conflicts of the twentieth century. As the route moves repeatedly across the country, the race becomes a journey through the unusually dense history and varied landscapes of Luxembourg.
